I have more lived experience of “Life in Hard Mode” than I ever cared to get, and I know what it’s like to want to do all the things while living with a body and brain that won’t let you. I’ve put in my 10,000 hours (and then some) to become a bona fide expert at living with chronic pain and ME/CFS… and with a neurodiverse (AuDHD) brain and complex PTSD (AKA crappy childhood disorder).
I’m also a qualified health practitioner (Heilpraktiker (Germany), Diploma of Acupuncture (New Zealand), and my studies gave me the ability to look at life and health issues through the dual perspective of Western and Oriental medicine. Working in my acupuncture clinic for over a decade taught me how to explain things in a way that made sense to my clients.
And I love writing, especially stuff that’s helpful and makes people feel like “someone gets it”. Because, I do get it. As much as I’d like it to say “writing is the most important thing in my life”, I cannot. Looking after my health is, by necessity, my first priority. The second is my family, and the third is writing. That’s why getting these books written and out into the world takes so long.
If you want to help me get the books written, drop me a line or sign up to my newsletter. That is the most motivating thing for me, knowing that what I’ve got to offer here is wanted and needed.
When I’m not nerding out on all of the above, I enjoy reading and writing queer romance, singing, playing piano, and letting the cat in and out and in and out and in and out.
All the best, Reese
